Bad news guys. Dreamfield Comics, publishers of Soft Paw Magazine, Finding Avalon and the upcoming sequel to Oh, Brother, Across the Hall, have closed down. It notes that the artists can still continue the pending projects and release them privately, so hopefully we'll see something, but it's up in the air now.

In short, no one really knows. Last I heard wolfblade is still working on it, but without a publisher I suppose there'd be some issues.

Sorta spiritual-successer by Fennec. Dunno how the actual comic is turning out, but I like where this pic is going! Also, Roni's childish cursing made me laugh myself silly.

There were very special circumstances that let me put the time I did into the first comic, that no longer apply, and so it's taking a lot more time than I imagined to get to a point of being able to get the second part made. >HOPEFULLY< though, the way things are currently going, barring any unforseen DISASTER, it won't be much longer. No time estimate (I feel like I jinxed myself by being so overly optimistic with my initial time projections), but I really really really think it shouldn't be too much longer before I can get back into full-tilt comic mode."

Wolfblade recently posted a journal regarding Across the Hall, the sequel to Oh, Brother.

"As many of you already know, I have a lot of stuff in my head that I want to get out of it. The continuation of my 'Oh, Brother' comic has been in limbo for way longer than I would like, and I've seriously slacked on good old general practice and improvement. "

"I know a lot of you want to see me get back to work on comic stuff, and I want that too. The problem is comic work is a LOT of work and time >now< in the >hopes< of being able to justify it with possible income >later.< The circumstances that let me do that before aren't in play anymore. Digital comic sales would be the easiest thing to do, but with the amount of time that goes into one, I can't really do something that'll just be posted to a dozen imageboards as soon as I put it out there."

"I'm going to open up for donations, and every time the donations reach a certain point, I will post a new page of a new comic publicly, for free, where people can share it all they want since it doesn't get posted until I already have the minimum I need to make to justify doing it. This isn't going to be the next chapter of the main comic, but instead one of the many little side-stories I've had in mind. In particular, it's gonna be Roni's First Time. I'll be working out the details of how many pages it will be, and doing up the first page to get things started without needing donations first. That will help me figure out where I need to set the mark that has to be hit before I can do the next page. Inbetween pages, I'll still do commission work as needed. If people like the comic and keep throwing $5's and $10's at me to see the next page sooner, then releases will happen more frequently. If by awesomeness beyond expectations, the 'next page' mark happens faster than I can produce them, the overflow will go towards building the buffer I would need to pay the bills while working on the next main story chapter which I still fully intend to release in printed form one way or another."

TL;DR version. It's not done because of other crap in life. He's going to be doing a side story funded a similar way to other smart artists by taking donations and releasing new pages as it reaches certain points.
